Gus 2000 - 2010
I forgot to mention that this was my treasured dog, Gus who had to be put down last August. He was ten and had developed a bone tumour on his spine. He had a great life until about the last month or so when he began to suffer with pain. That last day was an emergency situation and fortunately my vet made a house call within maybe 20 minutes of calling her and euthanized him. Very sad day. He was one of the smartest, most loyal, dignified (with some hilarious goofy moments) beings I’ve ever known. He is still missed and I’m not ready to get another dog yet. Someday.
